Job Description :-
With deep skills in Networking and Unix. Exposure to FIX and GL is a plus. Typically troubleshooting production issues. Candidate will be required to assimilate many proprietary trading/clearing technologies in a short amount of time and be able to pick up business domain knowledge. Must be a team player, but also a self-starter, as there are many mini-projects where candidate will be the only resource. Communication and writing skills will be strongly emphasized, as we will be working very closely with business analysts and directly with the business. Much of the candidates work will be focused on supporting clients via telephone. Proficiency in dealing with standard Unix tools and shells is important.
Required :-
must be a self-starter must be able assimilate/learn new proprietary systems quickly strong communication skills understanding of MS Windows support experience understanding of TCP/IP and UNIX tools understanding of network security concepts (NAT,PAT, firewall rules) understanding of VPN’s familarity with FIX messaging. familiarity with core Unix skills (System V compatible) familiarity of gnu tools and common Unix system admin commands familiarity with Unix/BSD networking some command of Unix Bourne shell scripting working knowledge of VI(or VIM)
